Magnolia Tilda New Adventures Greeting Card

I just got the news that my dear mother will be going to Real Estate school and that news brought great joy to me.  My parents were divorced and I was raised by my mom. She was one of my biggest supporters. I graduated at age 16 from high school and got my Associates in Art at 18. She always encouraged me to achieve the goals that I set for myself. Today I got the inspiration to make her a special card because I couldn’t find something that fit what I wanted to say.

Back to School ITT Swap Creations

To keep up with the swing of things, I hosted an ITT (Inchie, Twinchie, and Trinchie) swap on the Cricut Messageboards. My inchie image was done with clipart, and font. The Twinchie and Trinchie images were stamped with Magnolia Tilda stamps on white cardstock which I colored the images with Copic markers. I am truly pleased with how these 3 little pieces of art turned out.

"Back to School" Bus Ride Inchie

I found some clip art on a software program of a school bus for my inchie to be used in my "Back to School" Itt swap I am hosting on the Cricut MB. I typed the words "Bus Ride" in a very small font. It is really amazing to be able to create a mini piece of art on a 1"x1" square.

2nd Magnolia Tilda Stamped Image Coloring on a ITT (Back to School)

I decided to color another Magnolia Tilda stamp for my "Back to School" Twinchie (a 2"x2" square). The stamp is of a cute little girl wearing glasses and sitting in a chair and she looks bored. I love how the twinchie turned out and the colors really worked the image in a positive way. I created a little box that stated the prices of common school items which I think added to the whimsy and charm of the Magnolia image.

1st Magnolia Tilda Stamped Image Coloring for Back to School ITT's

Recently, I found out about these wonderful and adorable stamps called Magnolia Tilda's. Many of the stamped images depict a girl "child" that does not have a mouth, but in all actuality, she is an Angel. She does not speak with her mouth but with her heart. I am still gettting used to "coloring" the images and I am happy with how my first Magnolia Tilda Colored Stamped image turned out. Currently, I am hosting a "Back to School" ITT swap on the Cricut Messageboards, and so my first images colored went on to the Trinchie (3"x3" square).

Altered Mini Photo Frame for Vintage Swap

I found these adorable mini frames at a local dollar store, and found some pretty paper which I cut to fit the frame. I distressed the edges to give it some age and character. I added a beautiful rose and leaves that have glitter on them to make it stand out a little and mounted it with adhesive foam for dimension. I took my letter stamper and stamped the word: Memories onto a smaller tag which I glued to the corner.

Altered Vintage Chipboard Notepad Holder

Currently, I am in a "vintage-inspired" swap on the Cricut Messageboard where we make 6 items in each category we signed up in. One of my spots was to make a notebook holder and include a pad of paper and a pen. I used new brown chipboard and cut it to size. I sewed paper on paper, added vintage lace with a velcro strip so it can be held together. I distressed anything that could be distressed on the altered holder with Cat's Eye Chalk Ink. I cut out little letters to spell :hi. I used a vellum looking dragonfly paper and tore the edges to give it an aged look. I added a paper flower that I made by hand and added a button in the middle. I cut corner edges and attached them to the front bottom. Each are a little different and have character. I sewed a piece of ribbon inside so that one could slip a new notebook in when the old one was used.
